With some of our elected officials in support of proroguing government (extended, leisurely holiday), it shouldn't be too hard to find today's politician and where he/she might actually be.
Looks like a good time will be had by all wherever he/she may be!! |

Gee, wish you were here....really!! |

The Liberals should have a bit of an advantage in the next election. Having been beaten badly in the last time,
they quickly took Stéphane Dion out behind the barn and he hasn't been seen since. Immediately afterward,
there was a puff of white smoke and the Liberal party suddenly had a brand new leader in Michael Ignatieff.
He is by all accounts highly qualified, having dazzled many people at dinner parties and fashion shows
for decades.

Mr. Ignatieff is, as we speak, surrounded by a
brigade of young people from all parts of the globe, in pointy shoes and designer hats who work for him, worship him and twitter about him. Why we should vote for him? Why it’s his
fabulous sense of fashion of course!!
Those of us who view politics in part as a blood sport believe that in the last election, Mr. Dion made the classic error of bringing a bad suit to a gunfight. But this time Michael Ignatieff is ready.
He feels his strategy of liberally mixing thoughtful, if not somewhat notional, designer outfits and glitzy, over the top accessories will be the tie breaker in an election were it to happen during the present winter or spring fashion cycle. |

Michael “Natty” Ignatieff as he is known among his close friends and associates explains the latest departure from his usual chic, I'm loving tartan, political style. |
|
During a visit to Russia, Opposition Leader Michael Ignatieff poses with a group of young people. Not to be outdone by the locals, he dons a snappy hat of his own. |
|
| |
“In recent years, plaid has been synonymous with back woods shenanigans and the movie Deliverance.
If you are like me, they more hearken back to early days of high school prep year, where argyle patterns and brightly flanneled sports jackets were the norm”, muses Michael.
He continues, “This is no longer the case. This red and green checkered pattern has taken a step into the darker
side, bringing artsy grays and shades of black back into the spectrum”.
Michael Ignatieff's daring choice of trendy looks and flamboyant accessories are a risky mansformation in what might be an election frenzied spring. And, although he feels putting stylish liberal traditions ahead of more conservative lines is always a good fit, voting for a guy who will mix and match almost any casual dress shirt
with any tie might take a lot of getting used to.
